following open position.
Executive Director, Piedmont Triad Regional Water Authority (PTRWA)
The PTRWA seeks experienced, dynamic, and visionary Executive Director.
Formed in 1986, the PTRWA operates and maintains a 12mgd water treatment plant and transmission facilities that serve
Archdale, Greensboro, High Point, Jamestown, Randleman, and Randolph County and oversees a 6000+ acre regional reservoir
open for recreational boating and fishing. The Executive Director has full responsibility for the oversight of all facets of the organization.
The Executive Director is appointed by and is directly accountable to the 10 member Board of Directors, comprised of appointed individuals
representing 6 member governments. The ideal candidate will have outstanding interpersonal and negotiating skills with the ability to
establish and maintain positive working relationships with partner agencies, the public, and employees.
For consideration applicants must possess degree in public admin, bus. admin, or engineering (P.E. desirable).
Requires five plus years strong utility and management experience leading a similarly sized utility; or equivalent
combination of education and experience. Candidates must have a thorough understanding of federal and state
laws as they apply to local utility operations with a strong financial background and a successful track record
of responsibly and effectively managing public assets. Requires residency within the service area within a negotiable timeframe.
